Wow what a great week. It was different. We really worked our tails off. We did a ton of work. Elder Hernandez is so awesome. I just love working with him. He really actually has pretty good english. Its funny. Here everybody wants to learn english. Everybody is studying english. So I have helped a couple people with their homework. Its really pretty fun. Not saying I´m perfect at english or spanish. But Hey I can get by speaking both. Just don´t ask me any grammar for the two. haha. English was always my worst subject.
O man so I was reading in an esign this week. Guess who I saw. The Weinburgers…. haha I remember somebody telling me they had their picture in an ensign but I never saw it. Thats so cool. Or maybe I saw it and asked about it but I just forgot about it haha. I don´t know could be both haha.
Anyways but this week. Well one thing that I love is when we are out knocking doors and we knock into a friend or somebody that knows the members. It happened twice this week. One was super prepared to. So we are going to see with him how that goes. You never know who is truely prepared of your friends. I wish I could invite the members to do more. But I truely feel that I can´t truely invite the members to do something I never did. Well I truely can but I can´t really speak from personal experience. I think that is something that all the elders that aren´t from utah have the advantage. They all have friends they all have had chances to share the gospel. If your from utah you don´t have as many oportunities. But you still have those oportunities. I just never took them. But ya. Everybody has their own experiences that you can really become better from. That you learn from.
Esperanza. Well that means hope I´ve been studying a lot about hope this week. Hope is so amazing. Its amazing how when you truely hope for something everything changes. Really if you don´t have hope you don´t have a purpose. I have a quote from President hincley that talks about succes. Its 4 things you need. One is study scriptures daily. I don´t remember the other two but The last one is Live your life with purpose. So ya. Make sure you have a purpose in everything that you do.
Hmm cool stories this week. We ran into two families this week. They are less acitve. Well kinda. Both less active but one has a daughter that we want to work with. She is super cool. She has a family and everything. This mission really has their focus on baptizing families. So we are working to find some good families. Gotta love families. But ya so many great miracles this week. We just have a lot of people to follow up on. To teach more. What a great blessing.
Well don´t get trunky for chirstmas. haha. I love you all. Have a great blessed week this week. Don´t forget the true meaning of christmas. O in fact there is a mormon message about christmas. With a little girl. I think its called the true meaning of chirstmas. I invite you to watch it for family hope evening tomorrow. The little girl reminds me of my All grown up sister Lacey.
Great well I love you! Until next week when I have more information about the call. Sorry its so last min. Really not my fault. Thanks for your love and support.
Its amazing how much a change can really get you super pumped to work. We went out to work monday night and got talking me and my new companion. And we got talking about the different ways we like to do missionary work. He got talking about how he loves to work through the members. My last companion just wanted to work work work. Well that was all fine and dandy but In preach my gospel it talks about how you need to use the members. I love wroking with members. So that is definetly something that made me happy. Its amaing how god just does stuff in your life that you can just be so greteful for. I just feel so much more confortable with elder Hernandez. Elder Paico was definetly different. It was hard. But man God is blessing me like crazy. We are really still in the finding stage. I talked of some gators that we had this last week. Well they ended up not turning into anything. That was rough. So elder Hernandez came into the area with basically nothing. Nothing going. So that was definetly rough on him. but we are working hard. Elder Hernandez is awesome. He spend 8 months of his mission as an office elder. Working as the elder that did all the stuff for the housing.
O man this week funny story. So wednesday morning we woke up and got a call haha. Weird call for sure. It was the zone leaders and they said we couldn´t leave our apartments because the police in Codoba was on strike. I guess from what i´ve heard is that the police was on strike and wouldn´t leave the building. So everybody went crazy and started stealing and everything. Its really pretty sad. I just kept thinking the world is coming to an end. We ended up being able to leave because it wasn´t effecting Jesus Maria. But man its sad when there aren´t consequences people will do anything. The worst part is that it has a Gospel learning to it. If the poeple don´t know the consequence of their sin they are going to do it. So as a missionary my Job is to warn them. So I´m here in agrentina warning them of the consequences. Helping them see that they need to repent. and that when they do they will recieve so many blessings. God is great.
This week I feel like I just took a big Jump in the language too. That i can really speak it a lot better. I don´t know what it was but i really just have lots more confidence. God is great. Thank you for your prayers. Im sure that is where its at too. All of your prayers are really working. So thank you for everything.
Well not much more happened this week. Just saw some great miracles. One thing he is really good at is killing people with love. You can just see how peoples attitudes change when he talks with people. At first they don´t want anything but then they can feel the love God has for them. Its great. Its a great example for me.
One more story. Well in our area there is a rode that is lined with trees on both sides. Its really super pretty. I love it. But we went on this rode for a ton of time. There streets that are numbered on this rode. I believe there are like 120 rodes. Well we went to the 80th one. I don´t know how long that is but it was long. haha. We got to this statue too. I have pictures. Its pretty cool. They call it El statuaje del Imigrante. I think… Thats what I heard from them haha. The statue of the Imagrant. Its sweet.
Well thanks for everything. You are the best. I love you all! TTFN:)
Holy cow I forgot it was thanksgiving. haha. What a blessing. Thank you so much for all of your letters. They really helped. They always do. You are all so great. Hmm so many milagros this week. Milagros is a miracle. haha. Just in spanish. and when I say Milagros I mean milagros. There is a little girl here. She is the daughter of a less active lady that really we have reactivated but her daughters name is Milagros. Pretty cool huh? She reminds me a lot of all my little siblings. I have a scripture case that elder slade made for me that has a picture of my wonderful family that I get to show everybody. I think she has a crush on Quincy. Because every time we go over there she wants to see the picture haha. No but so many great things happening here.
I got to have the awesome chance to break my bike this week haha. That was fun. I took some pictures so you can play guess whats missing on the bike. haha. But then we got to borrow a bike from a member. Its pretty great haha. It has a baby seat. Its so perfect. It reminds me of all those rides with Lacey in the baby seat of moms bike. Its so much fun. So that was the blessing of the week.
We also got to actually do some good work this week. I´ve really come to love my companion. He´s great. A super good missionary. Its amazing how God knows what you need. We are still working on some things but for reals we are strengthening that relationship every day. Its great. We had some great chances to really do some teaching. The thing that really sticks out this week is the chance I had to share my testimony. It was great. I love sharing my testimony. I love sharing what I know to help others learn and progress. One thing that was said in elders quorum this sunday is when you share your knowledge your knowledge increases. But you have to take that step of faith. YOu have to show God that you are grateful for that knowledge that you have. Such a blessing.
Hmm so Savannah did a project on Argentina. YOu should have looked up Argintine cowboys. They dress super funny. Its really cool actually. Have big huge hats and everything. The fruit drink was just fruits in tang. haha. But it was good haha. It wasn´t anything special. But it was good. O ya. Maté. Everybody drinks it here. BUt we aren´t allowed to as missionaries. So no haven´t quite tried it. And can´t say I really have the desire. It doesn´t really look that appetizing. haha So thats a blessing that we can´t drink it haha.
Investigators. Still looking. Everybody we´ve had hasn´t really been progressing so far. So we are still looking. Have a lot of potentials that we really just need to follow up on. Just haven´t quite had the time. So hopefully we´ll have some progress next week.
One last quote I really liked.
Amazing things come from normal people that work extraordinarily hard.
So lets go work hard and we can do amazing things. Thanks for everything. You are all great.
